Is a dummy ticket accepted for a Schengen visa?
Yes. Consulates require proof of your travel plan, not paid tickets. A verifiable round-trip flight reservation (dummy ticket) with a real PNR is accepted across all Schengen consulates.
Is using a dummy ticket legal?
Yes — it is a genuine reservation, not a forged document. It simply is not a paid ticket. The consulate can verify the PNR; nothing about it is fake.
Do I need to buy a real ticket for the visa?
No. Buying non-refundable tickets before approval is risky. Provide a reservation for the file and book paid tickets only after your visa is granted.
How long is the dummy ticket valid?
Long enough to cover your appointment and the consulate’s review window. We time the reservation so it is valid when your file is submitted and assessed.
Can the consulate verify the PNR?
Yes, and that is the point — the reservation is real and checkable. A screenshot with no verifiable PNR is a common refusal trigger, which we avoid.
