Schengen Visa for Self-Employed & Business Owners

A running business is one of the strongest Schengen profiles — excellent proof of both funds and ties. Yet self-employed applicants are often refused because the file was not presented the way officers expect.

What this means for your application

As a self-employed applicant or business owner you are funding your own trip, so the consulate looks closely at your business income, its stability, and whether it gives you a strong reason to return. Presented correctly, your business works powerfully in your favour.

Documents you provide

  • Business registration, GST or Udyam Aadhaar certificate
  • Current (business) account statements — last 6 months
  • Business and personal ITR — last 2 years
  • Cover letter on your company letterhead
  • Proof the business continues while you travel

We prepare the rest

  • Consulate-style cover letter
  • Dummy flight reservations
  • Hotel bookings
  • Day-wise itinerary
  • €30,000 travel insurance
  • Form filling & review

Why this profile gets refused — and how we prevent it

Common refusal pitfalls

  • No proof the business runs without you — read as weak return intent
  • Irregular or unexplained inflows in the current account
  • Personal and business funds mixed together
  • Missing ITR or registration documents
  • A generic cover letter that never mentions the business

How we build a stronger file

  • We present your business as strong ties to India
  • Finances structured the way consular officers expect
  • A cover letter on letterhead explaining your role and trip
  • An itinerary that fits around your business commitments
  • An honest profile check before you pay

Your profile is stronger than you think

Most refusals are not about who you are — they are about how the file was presented. We know exactly what a consular officer needs to see for your profile, and we build the file to show it.

Refused before? Send us your letter and we will tell you honestly whether to reapply or appeal.

We build the file to show

  • Funds that are stable and verifiable
  • Clear ties that prove you will return
  • An itinerary that lines up with everything
  • A cover letter written for your exact profile

Schengen Visa for Self-Employed & Business Owners — FAQ

Can a self-employed person get a Schengen visa?
Yes — a stable, running business is excellent evidence of both funds and ties to India. The key is presenting your registration, statements and ITR clearly and consistently.
What do I submit instead of an employer NOC?
Your business registration or GST/Udyam certificate, 6 months of current-account statements, 2 years of business and personal ITR, and a cover letter on your company letterhead.
Why do business owners still get refused?
Usually because the file did not prove the business runs while you are away (return intent) or the finances looked irregular. We fix both.
How much balance should I show?
Enough to cover about €70–100 per day plus a buffer, held steadily over 3–6 months. Consistency matters more than a one-time top-up.
Do you handle refused self-employed files?
Yes. Send us your refusal letter for a free review and we will advise on the strongest re-application.
What does it cost?
A flat ₹10,000 + 18% GST for the complete file. Embassy and VFS fees are separate.
