Germany tourist visa — FAQ

How long does the Germany tourist visa take?

Typically 15 working days from the day of biometrics, but the German consulate may take up to 30 days during peak season (May–August). We recommend applying at least 4 weeks before travel.

Why is there an embassy fee on top of your ₹10,000?

Two separate parties charge two separate fees. We charge ₹10,000 for our work — file preparation, appointment booking, insurance, dummy bookings, etc. The German consulate charges its own visa fee (€90, around ₹8,300) plus a small VFS service charge. That’s paid by you directly at the VFS counter on appointment day, not to us.

Is travel insurance really included? Do I need to buy separately?

Yes — Schengen-compliant travel insurance with the mandatory €30,000 minimum coverage is included in our ₹10,000 fee. You don’t need to buy it separately.

I’m a freelancer / consultant — what document do I submit instead of NOC?

Submit your Udyam Aadhaar registration or GST certificate (whichever you have), plus your last 2 years of ITR. If you have a registered business or LLP, also include the incorporation certificate.

Do I need to book actual flights and hotels before applying?

No. Don’t pay for actual flights or hotels until your visa is approved. We provide verifiable dummy reservations (PNR-based flights and confirmed hotel bookings) accepted by the German consulate, included in our service.

Can I travel to other Schengen countries on a Germany visa?

Yes — once issued, the Schengen visa lets you travel freely across all 27 Schengen countries (France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, etc.). However, you must spend the most days in Germany, since that’s the country you applied through.

Where do I give biometrics? Is it the same as VFS?

Yes — biometrics are captured at the VFS Global office (the official German visa partner in India). We book your appointment there. Cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Goa, Thiruvananthapuram and Puducherry.

What happens if my visa is rejected?

Visa decisions rest entirely with the German embassy. Our 99% historical success rate is not a guarantee. If your visa is rejected, both our ₹10,000 service fee and the embassy’s €90 fee are non-refundable. We’ll help you understand the rejection grounds and plan a stronger reapplication.

How much money should I show in my bank statement?

There’s no official minimum, but as a rule of thumb the German consulate expects roughly €60 (~₹5,500) per day of stay in your account. For a 10-day trip, ~₹60,000 of clearly visible balance is reasonable. Larger and longer-standing balances strengthen your file.

Can I change my travel dates after I pay?

No. Once your file preparation has started, dates are locked into your cover letter, itinerary, dummy flights, hotel bookings and insurance. If your plans change after payment, you’ll need to start a fresh application at additional cost.
